Is it really free?
Yes, for everyone on the TestFlight beta. When paid plans arrive we will email you well before anything changes, and nothing is charged without you choosing a plan.
What level do I need to start?
None. Giulia starts in simple Italian with English explanations and adjusts as you go. If you already have some Italian, tell her and she skips ahead.
How does the correcting work?
You talk, Giulia listens. When something is off she corrects it out loud, inside the conversation, and the fix lands on a card with the rule in one line. Say it again and move on.
Is Giulia a real person?
No. Giulia is a digital tutor built by a small team. She teaches the way a good teacher does: out loud, patiently, and with a correction the moment you need one.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Your speech is processed by our service providers to generate Giulia's replies, and is not kept by our server afterwards. We do not sell it or use it for ads. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can I just listen for a while?
Soon. Listen mode is on the way: two tutors chat about a topic you choose, at your level, and you tap any word for the meaning. Beta members get it first.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Parla is iOS first. Join the waitlist anyway and reply to the welcome email to tell us you are on Android, it helps us decide what comes next.
Does it work offline?
No. Conversation needs a connection, since Giulia listens and replies through our servers. Saved correction cards are stored on your phone.
